Innofactor is an IT services company active throughout the Nordics. They bid on public tenders in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
We spoke with Tuomas Mäkinen, Bid Manager at Innofactor. He described that they relied on a separate tender monitoring service for each country, which wasn’t ideal for their Finland-based bid team. They needed an efficient solution to monitor tenders across all Nordic countries in one place.

Now, Innofactor monitors all three countries through the Tendium platform. The platform provides automatic summaries in English and allows translated keyword-based monitoring, so they can track tenders in English, regardless of the local language.
By highlighting keywords in tender documents, they’re also able to quickly identify relevant contract clauses and make sure they don’t pursue poor fit tenders. Monitoring is now fast and efficient.

Tuomas estimates he previously would spend about 10 minutes evaluating each tender to assess if it was a good fit. Now, he can make the same determination in just 25 seconds. He conservatively estimates they save at least 25% of the time spent on tender monitoring.
This timesaving allows them to focus more on high-quality, relevant tenders, reducing the time spent on opportunities that don’t meet their criteria. As Tuomas puts it, “The whole pipeline is stronger from the start.”
