* Transfers of personal data from the EU to third countries shall be based on a Transfer Mechanism in order to ensure compliance with the GDPR. The European Commission decided on an adequate level of protection concerning transfers between the EU and the US in July 2023 called the Data Privacy Framework. Further, Standard Contractual Clauses can be used as a ground for data transfers from the EU to third countries, as these clauses have been pre-approved by the European Commission, ensuring appropriate data protection safeguards.
